During her residency with ICAN, skilled facilitator, performance artist, and ritual theatre maker Zhaleh delivered a master class focused on use of Playback Theatre for Community Development.
Her master class developedskills of listening using Playback and other creative approaches to strengthen connections and build resilient communities.
She also delivered a Community Project with women from Crescent Community Cultural Centre at Caw/ Nelson Drive Derry~Londonderry.
Zhaleh Almaee is a skilled facilitator, performance artist, and ritual theatre maker. Based in the United States, she is Co-Director of the Mandala Center for Change with her husband Marc Weinblatt, member and trainer of the Poetic Justice Theatre Ensemble, and founder of the Soulscape Theatre Project. Drawing on a wide range of modalities, her background includes: Theatre of the Oppressed, Non Violent Communication, Playback Theatre, movement, and meditation practices.
