Elaine Forde graduated from University of Ulster Belfast with a BA honours degree in Fine Art, after graduating Elaine moved to London where she lived from 1995 - 2003. During this time she worked as an artist in resident / facilitator for various galleries including the Chisenhale Gallery, Hayward Gallery and Tate Britain. In 2000 she completed a Masters Degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art. Elaine went on to curate a number of large scale projects including Record Collection, Islington Festival and Designs on Britain for Arts Inform. After returning to Northern Ireland in 2003 Elaine began working for the Playhouse, Derry - Londonderry coordinating a youth arts project, she remained at the Playhouse for four years. From 2008 - 2010 she directed Artlink, a visual arts organisation in Co. Donegal before returning to the Playhouse to coordinate ICAN International Culture Arts Network.
Elaine is on the panel of Void curatorial committee and on the steering committee of Medicine Wheel Ireland.
